Does it work?

It certainly does, and we have proof!

Controlled research has found that just three terms (18 lessons) of Connect significantly improves children’s wellbeing, and that teachers love delivering the curriculum.

Does it work?

The Data

We are whole-heartedly dedicated to making Connect work as well as it possibly can. And we know that is an on-going job. The world around our children is constantly changing and so we understand the need to do the same.

Connect is the only PSHE/wellbeing curriculum in the English language which carries out regular large-scale tests on our programme with real pupils.

This means we are always learning how to develop and better equip the teachers who use it, and likewise, their pupils.

What teachers & practitioners think

As well as carrying out large-scale research trials, we also regularly check-in with teachers using the Connect Curriculum about what they think and ways we can improve our product. Below are a selection of positive comments from them…

“I found everything to like about the Connect Curriculum. It is evidence informed, positive, values driven and a rich, detailed, and teacher friendly resource that has been carefully crafted to fit in with the latest guidance."

Professor Katherine Weare
Emeritus Professor, University of Southampton

“The model provides clear language for the children to express their thoughts clearly and the interactive approach has been extremely inclusive and engaging."

Emily Rose-Daverson
Year 5 Teacher

“It has been inspiring to see the children developing a clear sense of their world and how they can better manage their thoughts, feelings, happiness and contribution to their community."

Year 5 Teacher

“The lesson plans were clear and simple to follow and had bright and engaging visuals to compliment the lesson. I can see that these lesson plans could free up a lot of teacher time and reduce stress, enabling them to prepare for the lesson in less time and spend quality time with the students in the class during the lessons."

Hannah & Tara
Speech and Language Therapists

"We’ve been using Connect with children on an individual level in our clinic and I highly recommend it. It has great lesson plans, training videos and lots of other useful resources."

Dr Evelyn Gould
Clinical Consultant

“The children have really enjoyed learning about DNA-V. Many express how they find it useful and I have heard them applying it in other lessons like fitness training."

Liz Hill
PSHE Co-ordinator

“As a psychologist, a researcher, and a mother, I feel so grateful, thankful, and appreciative of this rigorous, well thought-out, structured, data-based and powerful program."

MÉLINA RIVARD, PH.D/PSY.D
Professor of Psychology

“We are loving Connect in our school and have seen a positive improvement within the children’s wellbeing which has been amazing to see and to foster”

Jennie Williams
